A Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger is a mechanical device used to transfer heat between two fluids without allowing them to mix. It consists of a cylindrical shell that houses a bundle of tubes. One fluid flows through the tubes (called the tube side), while another fluid flows over the tubes inside the shell (called the shell side).
